-What is the Star Trek Armada'3 Project ?

The A3' project is a personal project of Philip Calrissian (aka- player: <Mighty Santa).
The fundamental aim is to gather ideas and form them into a in-depth written/pictorial concept for a game. The proposal will then be submitted to various companies, in the hope that one day A3 will eventually be made.

I personally believe - having read the dozens of Armada forums and various websites, that there exist a real opportunity for a games developer to create a game which is begging to be made by millions of players worldwide.

-Timeline - when will A3 be made, and who might make it?

There is no set date on the production of Armada'3 at present. The occasional rumour does arise, although as of writing nothing is official. The earliest possible date for A3 is mid'2006 (more likely 2007/8).

Who might make Armada 3? Well, Activision would probably be the lead company - since they made both of the original Armada's - although 'Mad-Doc' did the actual software production for A2. However, there are legal issues about whether any new Star Trek game will be released in the mid (1-3 yr) term.

-How can I get involved?

Firstly, let me note that everyone is most welcome to get involved, whether you are a leader or member of any clan, or just an ordinary occasional player of Armada'1 or Armada'2. There are a few ways to help the project make some progress...

1. Join the Armada'3 forum, post your thoughts, ideas, and 'wishes' for what could be the greatest ever ST-RTS game

2. Sign the Petition - see: http://www.petitiononline.com , it would be great if more players would add their support to this list.

3. Tell all your friends about the Star Trek Armada'3 project - the more people that know about it, the more ideas will flood in, and the more chance there is of a decent 'viable concept' being drafted out, and then being put forward to a games company.
